: Do you have specific information you would like to see?

Actually, yes I do. I'd like to see two things included.

One would be a straight number chart for strength. Using the chart that Gudgeon Brothers came up with a couple of years ago would be fine. That was done using glass and techniques that probably 99% of us use. Nothing fancy or elaborate.

The other would be a simple set of layup recommendations for various types of uses. Again, nothing fancy or elaborate. some thing like: Calm pond paddling = 1 layer of 4oz cloth minimum ocean wave surfing = 1 layer of 6oz cloth minimum whitewater type us = 2 layers of 4oz cloth minium

(my numbers are made up of course)

These two things, especially the latter for most folks, would let a first time builder achieve a reasonably good balance between weight and strength, and feel more comfortable about their construction. Many first time builders, myself included, overbuild the heck out of our boats because of fear of breaking our precious treasure. This would give a builder, especially a first time builder, a way to relate what they expect to do with their boat and a layup method. As opposed to the usual "6oz cloth for everything" given in most books and instructions.

I don't remember your book having a description of layup methods when I read through it. I'm glad to hear you do have something there, and that I simply missed it or have forgotten it. I would dearly love to be chastised from you on this because you have something like what I proposed already in print.
