Sorry for the slow reply Tom. I haven't seen Mark Starr's book, no. The lines for my kayak were based originally on the Idglorssuit kayak lines, as digitised by Bryan Hansel (thanks Bryan).

max Beam is 21.5"
waterline beam is 19.6" at 215lb displacement (design displacement for me using it as a play boat)
