Althought I did agonize over the choice for my first boat, but I never paddled a Panache until mine was done. Same with the Guillemot. Same with the Wee Lassie II. Once you consider kayak building a hobby, you're quite liberated in the choice of which one to build next. You pick whichever one strikes your fancy at the time. I've not been disappointed in any of my choices, but granted, I get a lot of enjoyment out of the building process, so the particular model is not terribly critical then. I have been trying to pick boats that are likely to have some different handling characteristics for some variety.
