I'm actually a senior at the University of North Dakota. Small world I guess. Yah I'm a little concerned about the fire danger as well. They'll probably put up a camp fire ban. That is ok though. I'm going out on the 18th of May. To bad I don't have any kayaking experience or I could go out with one before I decide to make one. It's probably not a good idea to go on an expedition without learning the kayaking basics. It's probably pretty dangerous. As for carrying the kayak two man; I've never carried a canoe two man (my guide says single is easier) so I don't see why I'd have to carry my kayak two man. Thanks though.
