I have the hip/knee brace kit from pygmy, I also picked up the velcro/strap on pocket with the adjustable foam inserts.

Part of me is still a little nervous to glue on customizations, on the off chance I end up loaning out the kayak. Also, I've been trying to decide if it was better/easier to attach to the vertical brace, or the curved back band that attaches to that, plus attaching in such a way to allow removal of the backband if needed for repairs or cleaning. For the pocket of adjustable foam panels, some have a decided curve on the top side, I'm trying to decide how much top curve is desirable to hold my hips in place and how much is too much and either uncomfortable or making a wet exit harder.

So it sounds like there is some interest in a get together, either south kitsap county or tacoma. If I can clear the project car out of the barn, there might be some workspace, or if there are other suggestions for a meeting location, I'm open.

I've been launching either at the small beach at the High Tide tavern, The crumbling boat ramp near Annapolis pier, or at the tidal basin and boat ramp by Al's market, though not much paddling this winter.

I've seriously thought about the saran wrap and expanding foam, though it would be nice to have some spare bodies to help pull human out of the kayak once the foam sets.
