I'm currently re-working this in my Arctic Tern. We don't live that far apart, maybe we could get together and work on it. I know I need better braces than what I currently have, as rolling is very problematic.

I'm also working this on my brother's Walrus, but it is much lower volume with a better style of cockpit. I don't expect to have problems with his.
