As a result of their attitude , my next boat will be a
> "basic" kit from Pgymy, not CLC. Sounds like your priorities are other than boat building. I have at times nickled and dimed small businesses because I didn't need what they had to sell in complete packages. You are in a position of flexibility because of your experience and extra materials, enjoy it.

I finished the North Bay and think it is a neat boat. The very low back deck,even with the upswept stern has been surprisingly manageable in winds. The only problem with boats that can be paddled very fast is that it shows how much more I need to get stronger if I want to take advantage of all that potential.
