CLC will not sell basic kits, (your objection), but they do offer plans for all their designs.

Pygmy will not sell plans for some of their designs, but they do offer two kinds of kits.

Ideally customers will want all three options, plan, basic kit, full kit, for all designs from both companies. So both companies will probably lose some sales because of their policy. However, I believe that they do have reasons for what they are doing, lack of time to handle all three options beeing one possible reason.
