Paper cups are fine, just make sure they aren't waxed, many paper cups are. The wax gets into the resin and makes bad things happen.

If it's very warm, and it should be if you want a clear resin job, a container that is shallow is better, keeping the mass down keeps the internal heat in the resin down and slows the setting reaction, gives you more time to work.
