I would suggest buying Jacquard acid dye (for dyeing the skin) from an art supply place rather than skinboats. You'll get exponentially more for the price and have a choice of colors. Here is their color pallette: http://www.jacquardproducts.com/acid-dye.html start with the lightest color, work to the darkest color, one color at a time. You can always make skin darker, but with dye, you can't make it lighter. Use a natural sponge as they do in faux painting. Splotch it on. Get it from a box store or painters' supply.

I do not like goop. It goes on poorly and doesn't seem to work well. It is FLEXIBLE, but not ELASTIC. There's a difference. If you're using nylon and want a long-lasting coating Coelan Marine Coating is the best solution. If you want to switch to polyester, then oil-based marine paints and varnishes work well.
