Bill,
Sorry to hear about your boat. It really bites when you can't leave your belongings out without someone ripping you off. I know the feeling! I bought a 1947 Willys last fall to keep a my camp in NH. A week before Xmas my neighbor who watches my place called and said someone stole the $800 worth of tires and rims off it parked next to the main road Chain to a tree. 2 weeks later the firewood walked off the front porch of my place and another camp down the road! I called everybody I knew up there and told them about the tires and I was lucky and had them located the next day. The guy went to a local garage and had them changed to his truck. (Dumb or what?) He even said they came off a jeep. He did 2 months in jail and would you believe I still haven't got my tires back from evidence. I call every week too. This guy got out, bought new tires for his rig and I still can't drive mine.
Start asking around the area where it was stolen. Post some pictures and maybe offer a small reward. You never know who may have seen it happen. Good Luck! I hope you find them and hang'em by the yardarm!
Steve
