Yes, my problem was with the top edge of the side panel and the bottom edge of the side deck panel not meeting smoothly. The error was only in the top edge of the side hull panel. If I had ever built a boat from offsets before, I would have known what was going to happen. Unfortunately, I was done plotting, cutting, stitching and gluing before I contacted Grant with my problem. By then it was too late to do anything but shave off a little of the high points off that hull panel edge before mating the hull and deck together.

Grant was really helpful tracking it down, and helped me immensely by taking the time to plot a set of offsets for forms to insert into the hull at one-foot intervals to help get the boat to take the right shape. I got it together, and the boat looks great, so I'm not going to dwell on it (20 years from now I'll hardly ever mention it anymore ;-) If anyone is interested in seeing pics (or the final product), let me know...I have some digital pics after the hull and deck were joined together.

Grant really goes above and beyond as a designer, and I think you can see that from his posts here. He's also a great guy for putting this beautiful boat's plans up on his site for free and then offering any support at all.

So another big thanks to Grant, and I'll be sure to post the final pics when I get it done...
