JON,I am close to where you at in building so I have a ? maybe you can answer for me,when I connected the lines at the bow area on the side panels(sheer)at the bottom where the side will connect to the bottom around the 12"to 24" offset it seems to indent a little instead of fairing out. the offset just didn't look right is yours like that? I checked the offsets and they are correct.it just doesn't look like a smooth transition.I will check it again before I cut but just wanted someone else's input .In reference to your question ,I am no expert so I will concede my advice to anyone else on the board who knows but I think the 96" would be from tip of bow down the center.
