hey Grant,what I am asking is on the offsets at the bottom side panel when I connected the dots it dips upward slightly instead of a smooth curve like when you normally see drawn on a side panel. see side panel station 7 3/4" bottom to station 12" bottom 2 5/8" is where my problem is at. so the bow should make a smooth curve from top part of bow then continues on to 0" at station 72"then starts back upward to stern?I have no doubt it is my error(my first kayak)but I just wanted to be sure before I cut.thanks in advance

: Not sure exactly where you mean. Is it the bottom edge of the side panel?
: This edge should be a fair curve. If for some reason, it is not, let your
: batten bend to a fair curve kind of splitting the difference between the
: last 2 stations. The boat will be fine.

: The problem that Mark ran into was at the center at the shear. This was an
: artifact of me subtracting off the side panel to get the point for the
: junction with the side deck panel. With this kayak it is not that simple.
: I needed to add a bit to the outside of the deck panels, but did not take
: the time to check this out. As I stated, that version was not built or I
: would have seen the problem and corrected.
