:I am building the cambered deck version, and I know exactly what you mean with the batten. so it should make a nice smooth transition?I keep looking at it and just wasn't sure if it was right or not.How did you fix the problem?The back has a smooth transition but the bow has that one little indent.Help me out because I am ready to cut .this is a cool looking shape ,it's neat to see it start comming together.

I had the same experience. Were you building the chined-deck version or the
: cambered-deck version? I ran into this problem with the chined-deck
: version. I corresponded with Grant Coltz, the designer, who was very
: helpful. Grant said I was the first builder too build this version, which
: even he hadn't built. I think he is preparing to redo the offsets to fix
: this problem. I don't think it will cause any performance problems, but I
: sure wish I had questioned it before stitching and gluing the two
: together. I would recommend you contact Grant and see if he has those
: revised panel offsets, if you haven't gotten too far along yet. In
: retrospect, it should have been a dead giveaway when I had to really tweak
: my batten to get it to follow the plotted points of the offsets ;-)
