Sorry about the delay in responding. I donot have any drawings of the "hanging" footbraces and will have to check for photos.

as to the foot braces coming loose during a capsize or during the car ride, that can easily be fixed by installing a bungee between the footbrace and the forward bulkhead... perhaps poked through a hole in the bukhead and an overhand knot tied inside the forward compartment as described a month ago for flush deck rigging.
