I built this system from the plans in Nicks book, and put it in the plywood Walrus. The resting angle appears to be perfect for me 5'11" and my brother 6'3". It is great for someone like my wife who is 5'2" and normally can't reach the foot braces after I've paddled a kayak. I find it more comfortable barefoot than Keepers, and I wouldn't want to try Yakima barefoot (OUCH!!!). It is much easier to adjust the fit, but you do have to open up the spray skirt. I don't know how you would mount a footpump with this, but I'm sure some of the more creative people (Mick?) on this board could come up with something, and you could pioneer it.
