What is fiberglass?

tell them that is basically a fiberglass boat with a visible wood core.

I also need to explain that when I say "Fiberglass", I don't mean "polyester resin", I mean fabric made from woven fibers of glass. Yes, they are actually looking through fabric at the wood, and yes, it is clear, the glass in fiberglass is the same as they make windows out of.

Most people really don't have any idea what fiberglass really is.
