Hi Tony,

You have me thinking twice now about the aluminum stringers. :-D This kayak will be in mostly marine conditions and will probably get wet inside often - It seems 6063 tubing is the choice for most - any recommendations for other tubing that would be even more corrosion resistant that would work well with skin on frame construction?

If going the aluminum with plywood route - would I need a drill press for the recesses for the gunwales/stringers/etc? - Like for HPDE example on yost werks site (though not the snap in part, just a half circle)? Assuming my only choice to secure the tubing would be lashing?
