First, you do realize I hope that this is a rolling kayak, it's REALLY skinny, if you've got the skills then great otherwise you'll very likely swim alot. My Yost boats are pretty stable for their beam but that only goes so far, 18" beam is not much.

That band saw will be far worse for cutting stringers than a skill (circular) saw that narrow blade will wander almost right away.

Don't necessarily need marine grade ply, the insides don't stay wet or at least shouldn't.

A 3/4" lip on a coaming won't work, will never seal with the skirt, would be no point in having it.

Well that's a start, let someone else answer a few more questions.
