I used 8oz nylon coated with corey goop on the micro Sea Fleas. The kids would jump on top of them on dry land, and it would not leave a mark. They would get thrown around without any issues. My son has a tendency to destroy things, but was never able to damage his micro Sea Flea.

We've done plenty of tests, and applied correctly corey goop over nylon is tough stuff. I had my sof and a plywood and glass kayak on my truck when my roof rack came off at 50 mph. The sof had minor damage and the ply and glass kayak was VERY busted up. Before you say the sof was lighter, they both stayed attached to the rack, and hit the road together, with the same basic impact.
