Strip: Kids 1st kayak

Hello,
I told my 5 yr. old grandson that if he would learn how to swim I would build him a kayak. I need to get started and soon :)) Somewhere on the internet I saw a 12' kayak with removable sponsoons?? I cannot re-find it:(( Anyone have any ideas where it is or other suggestions for a strip built?? I am not sure I want the sponsoons for the same reason I don't like training wheels on bikes but - - it is my grandson :))
