Hey ... you're entitled to your opinion ... but I don't share it. As well as paddling an NDK myself, I know and paddle with lots-o-guys with NDK's, some with boats as old as 10 years old. Other than an occasional complaint about weight, I've not heard one thing negative about NDK structural integrity from anyone I know who has one ... even those that have cracked glass. Every brand has it's lemons, but I don't think strong and durable NDK's are an anomaly.

Everyone has an opinion, and you know what they say about that!

: For lack of a better word, that's baloney. I've got a friend's relatively new
: NDK boat in my basement for repairs and its got the same overweight,
: crappy construction that they've been using all along. They make periodic
: overtures about improving their quality, but it's all talk. When push
: comes to shove, they just send out everything they can build and let the
: distributors sort out the junk from the "acceptable" boats. If
: you have one that you're happy with, that's great, but it may not be
: representative of their overall production or you may have a different
: definition of "quality" than I do. I spent many years as a Q/A
: Engineer and I'm confident in my assessment.
