: The one thing I left out was that it is going to Mexico. I don't know what
: you know about the Mexican postal service but the outfitters in Baja said
: they wouldn't mail it. I was suprised. What ya think?

Aallllll...righty then!!

That's more like it. I would "Maybe" trust the Mexican Post office to get it there, maybe, in a couple of weeks, but, if you are talking Baja.... Not a chance. We don't even guarantee their own Money orders and we won't sell ours to folks going or mailing down there. I wouldn't recommend mailing anything to Mexico. Sorry about that!! :) One day I would like to do some paddling in the Sea of Cortez. I have done a lot of fishing down there and it's a kick, but, I hear the Tides are well worth watching as they are swift. They don't recommend small power boats on the sea, near the tide movements. The local fishermen only go out before and after in their pangas. That's a 22' to 24'long x 4 1/2' to 5 1/2'wide Canoe with a 140 to 200 hp outboard on it, just in case. Anything smaller and you will be fighting the current to make any headway. I guess if you planned it, you could use the current to take you way south towards L.A. Bay and do some dynomite fishing, and then use the tide to take you back home in time for dinner. :)

Where you going? The Gulf or Baja? Where-ever, I'm sure you'll have a great time. We always do. Just remember, don't try to do everything in the first day. Try to let yourself relax for a day and then jump into the action. We always figure it takes about 3 days to wind down to where the folks down there will be reasonably sociable. They don't like anything or anyone that's still buzzing around on U.S. speed. :) See Ya!
