I have been highly amused by all the quiping on the launching ceremonies. Being Mormon using neither wine or coffee, perhaps root beer or sprite could be acceptable substitues. Ok, I'll even go in for plain ole grape juice. I definetly agree that whacking the boat, made of thin wood, with a bottle would definitely cause a little pre-stress on the hull not to mention a good dent.

If I use juice, I'll put it in a balloon. Since a whole group of scouts may do this together, you can imagine the possible outcome if we have a whole bunch of balloons filled with juice. Gene
