I'm just about finished building a Spring Run, my first boat, and am very, very pleased with the design and results of the construction process. Have not paddled it yet, so can not comment on that. Joe has provided me with prompt responses whenever I've had questions.

My one suggestion would be, if this is your first boat would be to read Nick's book and perhaps the Kayakcraft book also, as Joe's building instructions are a little too concise at times. Nothing wrong with the instructions, but I found myself scratching my head at times, until I referred to another source with more details explanations.
