In Response To: Spring Run Review?? (Nick Pinson)

Hi Nick, Met Joe in Seattle a couple of years ago and paddled one of his boats. Very nice craft. I was sold immediately. I built two of the Spring Run last winter. Made one modification to the design, rounding the ends a little so they wern't so sharp; considered them dangerous in the surf. They were easy to build. I went without staples, so I did have to fight the ends to keep them on the forms, ended up using a few pounds of hot glue. The boats are wonderful. Joe was very helpful during the construction. Had the misfortune of dropping one of the hulls during the building process. It basically exploded, but I was able to patch things togeather. I'm going to the wooden boat show in Homer Alaska next weekend with the boats. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.
