Mick:

I've NEVER paddled in my life. Actually... I've got some kind of fearness about water! Three years ago, surfing through the Web I've discovered Nick's page and LOVE the kayak designs.

So I looked for a place to build some of those, bought Nick's book and started the job.

I don't know if I'll ever have the guts (I don't know if that's a bad word in english, so excuse me) to actually put my boat in the water.

I am just experiencing the pleasure of build it!

I am not going to junk it or leave it, but I'm not going to fix it too! It looks great, and you have to be either an expert or a very smart %&$ to find out the inch missalignement... :)

It's just a secret between this BBS and me!

Paul is telling me that an inch offset don't affect paddling that much, considering that I would paddle for a couple of hours every other week...

My main concern when I posted the message was if this offset would make the boat IMPOSSIBLE to paddle.

The boat IS NOT twisted. It's curved evenly . Actually, the bow and stern sections are fairly straight (I've inlayed some accent strips and from bow to cockpit and stern to cockpit are really straight!). The problem seems to be the cockpit area.

You mean, besides marry Julie? :) Your feedback was GREAT! I think I was needing some support from you guys... I'm back on my workshop and proud of my bananic kayak.

I'll post some pictures in a very near future.

Thanks!
