Hi Mick;

Thanks for the nice response. On the subject of CA fumes, I think they are pretty nasty to us organic life forms . . . I was planning on using a good respirator when I CA glue again. A few years ago I was using the stuff, and I definitely felt some strange reaction in my lungs. Within a week I had contracted an upper respiratory flu of some sort that just wouldn't go away. Did you say that a respirator is ineffective with CA fumes? Time for Plan B.

I have never used accelerator with CA, I just always get the super thin stuff, and when it wicks into a joint it is essentially dry. Even at that, the filled and hardened wood at the joints may pose a fairing problem. I'll experiment a bit when I get to the stripping stage, and if I find out anything useful, I will post.

Best Regards, Spidey
