I was quoting CLC prices on the wood, which they may or may not deduct from a kit price.

However, your wood and glass prices are great! What's it cost you ship to the US?! I'm seriously interested. :)

My bad. I forgot he was considering a kit. Bead & Cove strips would cost about $100 US for a deck.

If he is building from a kit; CLC includes MAS epoxies--why would he want to throw in a different system on the deck? :)

I think we have to agree that the price of building with "kit" strips on a "kit" boat will cost a lot more than "self-sourced" materials on a "plan" boat. The low end of your estimate is probably right if he went with Cove & Bead strips, and the high end for exotic woods.
