I can tell you that the Tred Avon does not do that. I found that as the span of the beam decreased (closer to the ends), the radius decreased. If you look at the TA lines drawings it shows a flat deck in the side view. I have a hunch the kits are not so. I ended up stringing a string from the cockpit beam aft, and raising the new beam to match at the centerline. Then I planed each side down fair by eye. Similar forward.
