Or even in Australia? The normal rudder system here is one which is retractable by 270 degree swing over the stern, with line from rudder to near cockpit to control retracting and lowering. Steering cables connected to ends of swivelling bar on top of to fixed footrest bar, or to separate left and right footrests with movable top. Occasionally see cables connected to sliding footrests. What's standard in USA?
