My goal is to get to a smoother seat (for my Njord) so that I don't feel as locked in as I am with the foam seats. I made a seat from this mold long ago, but after a while I went to foam because of the weight. Unfortunately I later tossed it out in a fit of tidiness , so I can't try out the fit.

The seat will be sitting on the bottom in some fashion, so it needs to be fairly stiff. Time for some experiments. I will make one and start cutting down the back (which I know is too tall) and the sides to see what I wind up with.

What I have on the shelf for cloth is a bunch of tight weave 3.2 ounce and some 6 ounce carbon. I also have some kevlar tape which could look really cool if I could integrate it with the carbon in a way to make it visible yet not need sanding, which does not work well.
