Hey All-

I have a question about a seat like that. I paddle a Hight Heron. I have reduced the volume so that it is around the same height of a Night Heron GS on the rear deck, and I've taken several inches out in front of the cockpit as well. I have tried making several seats, and I don't find them as comfortable as sitting right on the hull. I started paddling in a SOF, and that's how I sat in that kayak. One of the things that I like is being able to adjust my seating position side-to-side to compensate for wind and the like with respect to tracking, and one of the things I DON'T like about a seat is that it hampers my ability to do that. Can you do this sort of thing in a bucket-type seat like this?
