Petruskajak in Sweden, who teaches 8-day plywood-BP-building classes, got the panel shapes this way, and have precut parts (panels, stems, cockpit rim, seat, adjustable skeg, hardware etc) for five sizes in the shop.

Petrus has come up with a lot of clever and efficient ways to handle these BP-projects: fx bending plywood for the curved foredeck and a ingenious foredeck-aftdeck joint, incorporating the cockpit: http://www.thomassondesign.com/en/news/a-visit-to-the-the-kayakshop-in-tranas

With a recent agreement with Bjorn I now have access to the five standard sizes of BPs. I'll be making similar templates myself over the summer and hope to offer building classes in the fall. Perhaps kits.
Petrus' solutions are quite ingenious.
(Yup. You're right, Nick. Getting too commercial...)
