After I thought my fill coats were ok I sanded the hull, one side wet sanded and then the other with a ROS and Abranet 80 grit for part and Norton 80 grit for the rest. Both worked well, flattening things much faster than wet sanding but not producing as smooth a finish. Also sanding into the glass in a few places so I am going to put another fill coat on.

My question is if the surface is too rough? I think the fill coat will fill the swirls, as I'd does for fiberglass. Since I hit the glass in places I am afraid to sand much more.
