Regarding the end drapes:... Don't cut the gussets off. The glass will become much more flexible as it is wet out. As you get the resin on gently ease the bow and stern sections into place. I find that virtually any Greenland style bow or stern will be accommodated by the glass without having to cut it at all.

Leaving some resins too long between fill coats will cause meniscus contractions. You may be leaving it slightly too long Where the bit is that looks like water on an oily surface.

It is a bit pointless sanding before the final fill coat. If there is not enough resin yet you will just damage the cloth, if there is enough for the cloth to be buried, then why add more? The whole idea of fill coats is to fill the weave with chemical bonds entirely so that you can prepare for varnishing without damaging your cloth.

The light weight cloth you a using should not take much filling anyway, you may find that it is already filled.

I wouldn't worry too much though. This is obviously your first effort and you seem to have done a generally very fine job. The deck will come out even better as the curves will be more accommodating to the cloth and you will be working more on the flat.

Nice looking job.
