Getting the glass to drape over a sharp stem is impossible. At least for me. I use hardwood stems and allow the glass to lay flat against the hull and slit the glass along the stem to help the glass conform to THE HULL. The glass will adhear to the sides of the stems to provide strenght and additional bonding to the boat. The hardwood will handle any impact better than glass anyway.

Robert, do you fold the slit fabric tight against the stem and overlap it, or stand it up as I did? Or are you not glassing the top of the stem?
