: Tom, do you have any support across the grain of the strips or are
: you relying on the cross-grain strength of the wood? I'm always
: looking to learn . . .

I posted a bunch of pics and a description on the forum a while back. To summarize, mine has two layers of strips
overlapping 3/8" along their length and epoxied together. Plus, I glued in a few plywood cross sections/ stations, SOF style.
This layup is extremely rigid.

On the next one, I plan to strip the hull bottom first layer from the keel to the bilge and the second layer from the bilge to the keel,
therby adding more offset to the stripping process ... not that it's really necessary, just another technique to keep me entertained.
I likely will also use thinner strips... possibly 1/8" vs the 3/16" used on the Sea Bee.

I've long wanted to build a strip boat sans fiberglass, and this is it.

All in a day's fun !

Tom
