More "ebonizing", got my "Quebracho extract" today, recommended btw from the "Popular Woodworking" magazine article on ebonizing btw:

Suposed to make the black...um...blacker (can't be a word ).

With the mix I'm now using the cedar turns almost the same shade of black as red oak does, which is the "standard" for this process.

Now I have to figure out how to mix this stuff, it's a bag of red powder.
