Bill,
Are you planning to ebonize the strips before building, or ebonize the boat after sanding but before epoxy? Just curious because I don't think the ebonizing penetrates any deeper than staining does, so when sanding the raw wood color will start to show through, especially where the corners of strips are getting rounded over on the deck, chines, and shear. Although that may lend itself to an interesting "antique" type finish.
