I'm from NZ too. Let's keep the anti-American views out eh? (Anyway we didn't win the AC from Dennis that time around.)

Don't forget that the folks who do think positive are generally those who understand what they are doing and working with. I'd feel confident working with unconventional materials if I'd already worked with conventional materials.

Plenty of people have tried working with unconventional materials when they didn't have the knowledge to be sure what they were doing was safe. The sceptics in his thread are probably just worried for our OP that he falls into this category. Let's hope not.
