I work in a hospital, we get all sorts of "interesting" things shipped in these containers. It's expanded polystyrene btw, not styrofoam and it's not great for structural uses, which is why it's shipped in cardboard boxes so they don't break apart.

You can have all of them you want usually, they are usually just thrown away, it's what they are worth, unless you need a temporary cooler.
