Strip: Impossible geometry *LINK*

After the better part of a year I've finally come to the moment I've been dreading. I'm about to install the first outside deck strip on my Greenland decked Night Heron. Between forms 9 and 11 this strip makes a 90 degree turn. The bottom of the strip at form 9 becomes the outside edge at form 11. There's no way that I can see to get a fair surface here. Theoretically I could make a rolling bevel but that doesn't seem realistic with a piece of 3/8 bead and cove. I'm thinking that I can either whittle a sliver and glue it into the gap and then sand smooth or just glop on some dooky schmutz and cover it with a pinstripe. But, before I do anything too impulsive I thought I'd consult the collective genius of the bulletin board.
