Hello Greg,
The other woods used were white pine and western red cedar.
I think that a good wipe down just before glue-up should be sufficient to acquire a good bond. I would not sand to a super smooth surface prior to epoxy either - give the teak more tooth area by sanding with a bit courser paper than you would otherwise use.
