Teak doesnt take epoxy well. The reason we love teak is that its rot and weather resistant and it gets those properties from ist oily nature. And epoxy doesnt like to stick to oil. I have heard it can be used if the surface is well cleaned with something like acetone before glueing.

Teak/oily woods-Wipe with acetone 15 minutes before coating. Solvent removes the oil at the surface and allows epoxy to penetrate. Be sure solvent has evaporated before coating."

So it can be done.
