Hi Doug,
That's how I got a couple of jars of wood flour, a few ounces maybe. Most of it is oak and it's amazing how different the colour is from boards that look close in colour. The first jar had some interesting colour layers before it got mixed up, and before I realised to keep them seperate.

The saw dust from the saw would be too coarse for a good filler, even the dust from a finishing hand-saw would be too coarse. The larger dust/chips could be added to an end-pour to lighten it.
