I always use wood flour in epoxy for filler. I have Zip-Loc bags of wood flour (sanding dust) from different kinds of wood and each is numbered or named. Then I take a small ammount and mix it with some epoxy and make a puddle of it on wax paper. When it is cured, I identify it with the number of the bag it is from. That way I will have an idea what color the wood flour will produce when it is used as filler. Maybe the cedar dust is darker than I want, but I can lighten it with some pine or fir plywood dust to match what I am working on.
