Different makers of kits and plans, and various authors use different terms t describe various pats on their boats. A picture is worth . . . well, you get the idea. Regardless of the plans you work from, it is likely that someone on thi list has built a boat either from those same plans, or from similar ones, nd can offer advice should you get to an area where you are uncertain.

Get started, That is the most important thing. Follow whatever instructions you have. Most kits and plans have enough info. Frequently the 'obscure' areas in the instuctions make more sense once you have something built. If, or when, you get stumped: Write. Or, if you can, send along a picture. We love seeing other people's efforts.
