One day, in the deep south, an oldtimer is leaning against the fence when he spots his grandson walking by with a big bundle of chicken wire.

"Hey, sonny," he calls out, "where you off to with that bundle of chicken wire?"

"Well, gran'pa, I'm off to catch me some chickens!"

"Whoa! son, you can't catch chickens with chicken wire!"

"Well, I'm gonna try", and off the boy went.

A while later the boy walked by with a bundle of chickens done up in chicken wire. Grandpa scratched his head in amazement.

The next day the boy came walking by with a spool of duct tape.

"Hey sonny," called out gran'pa, "where you going with that duct tape?"

"I'm off to catch me some ducks!"

"Whoa, son, ever'one knows you can't catch ducks with duct tape!"

But off the boy went and awhile later he walked past with a bundle of ducks wrapped up in duct tape.
Gran'pa just shook his head in disbelief.

The next day the boy walked past with a bundle of sticks. Gran'pa ran up to the boy and said, "Whoa there boy, where do you think you're going? And just what kind of sticks are those anyway?"

"Why gran'pa," said the boy,"these here are pussy willows." Gran'pa's eyes opened wide: "Whoa, you wait right here son while I go get my coat and hat!"
